OK OK I typed "Pennysylvania" first
Now I've got it only one "y" and it's not as in Penny because the state is named after a famous quaker William Penn. Now to remember that for future reference!!!
I have just seen that yesterday an unfortunate couple from Kentucky who had intended to go to Reading PA have had to auction
their 4 Orchestra Center Row N tickets:-

http://i15.ebayimg.com/04/i/04/87/db/9a_1_b.JPG
after as Maryrose says "My husband has since broken an arm and a leg, and is unable to travel travel sic"
Without wishing to mock the either of these poor/unfortunate chaps I do believe that Borderstone for one would pay:-
an arm and a leg (if he had it) to go to this concert
The ebay auction starting at $75.00 ends on the 25th (Monday) at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=16122&rd=1
It reminded me to suggest that we ought to very soon have a roll call for those going to the three PA concerts
there is some detail on the Glenside concert at frkmry's recent topic about Glenside accomodation at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...c;f=1;t=003309
this so far includes
him/her (is it f...Mary or what??
Bill Wallace (possibly)
Iron (Brian W)
Susan myself and Susan's mother Joan
last time we attended Glenside (back in 2002) I recall we dined pre-concert at a Chinese?? restaurant almost next door to the
Keswick. but Susan says she does not think it was that good.
any other ideas for a pre-concert gathering anyone??
we will not (under present plans anyway) be staying in Glenside overnight instead a redrive the next day friday 19th to Reading.
Now I do believe Peter Alicia (newsgroup and chat room a.k.a. gman) lives close so expect to see him there in addition to
those who responded to the earlier topics:-
1."New concert" at:-
http://www.corfid.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ul...c;f=1;t=002941
where I jovially suggested that gman could host a barbecue!!
and later:
2."Sovereign Center , Reading PA 8/19/05"
at:-
http://www.corfid.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ul...c;f=1;t=003010
who were up to 22 February
Bill Wallace (albeit up in the air... where better to fly??)
and an unregistered
"AL IN HBG"
plus us three
anybody else???
John Fowles
There is also the seven springs concert that in view of all the other concerts we have already attended or are committed to we
reluctantly decided to miss this one

Hi John,

I've landed and the plans are set in stone. Could only swing time for two shows in August so we picked Wolf Trap & The Keswick.
Lizanne & I are looking forward to meeting Elizabeth and her friend at Wolf Trap and hopefully a few other Lightheads. As luck would have it my Aunt & Uncle live in VA about 25 minutes away and have offered us a bed after the show.
The next day we'll drive up to Glenside where, if I recall, we have seats adjacent to your posse. Regarding food in Glenside there is an absolutely wonderful Greek place

Athena Restaurant
264 Keswick Ave., Glenside, PA * 215-884-1777
Authentic Greek cuisine. Experience the Old World charm and tranquility of Athena, nestled conveniently in the heart of Keswick Village. BYOB. Eat in or take out. "It's a little bit more than delicious!"

Perhaps we could get a large table for corfid folks before the show. Reservations are a must and ASAP would not be too early to try, that is if you like Greek food ???

You're right though we need a PA roll call post !

Bill :)

Okay, are you all trying to kill me here, or what? LOL! I am so jealous of those of you who not only get the opportunity to attend a concert, but actually get to see Gordon multiple times in short order! That being said, I think it's fantastic!! I hope you all get together, have a wonderful time, and take lots of pictures to share with the rest of us who can only live vicariously through you.

Mouse, who lives away up here in the sticks!

I'll be at Keswick. Mary, Yup Johnfowles, Long story, fork, spoon, mary so AOL gave me frkmry. I will meet anybody and everybody at Glenside. Hotel is in Trevose, I overshot Glenside by about 8 miles or so. Cheaper with "Trip Rewards" saved about$40 or so. I'll be driving 5 hrs.
