In the live version of 'Softly' (on Songbook) at the beginning when Gord is playing the guitar but hasn't started singing yet if you turn it up really loud you will hear some kind of a baby cry in the background. It's like a really small yell. Has anyone else heard it?

I always thought that was my ex-wife in the other room.

I thought it was something outside until I played it again.

Since the song is taken from Sunday Concert, the live recordings from Massey Hall in 69, I've always thought it was someone in the audience reacting with an excited "awwwwww" to that song. You know, like how people applause in the first few bars of a old favorite.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong. (DM)

I've got another "What the heck is that?".......
On the Shadows album (or CD), the song "I'll Do Anything" has an odd sound. In the second line "I've been on my own for so long" you can hear something like a guitar pick being slid across a guitar string, and it doesn't sound like it was planned. Am I right?

It was before the audience started clapping. It sounded like a really short cry. But you could be right.
