I was just at Barnes and Noble looking up Gord's Gold II.While I was searching one of the album credits,I discovered that Richard Marxx did some back ground vocals at some point.Up until now,I had no idea about this.Just out of curiosity,how many of you realized this?

I made a small mistake.It wasn't on Gord's Gold II that I saw Richard Marxx listed.It was Gordon Lightfoot-Complete Greatest Hits.He's also listed in the credits for Songbook.(makes sense since the song(s)he participated in are included in Songbook).

To Joveski and Jennifer:No,I haven't purchased Gord's Gold II yet.I think it will be the next G.L. cd I buy.If I do,it will due to the fact that my B.F. loves Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald.
I'd really rather buy Lightfoot!/The Way I Feel, but hey,I'm trying to please myself and the B.F.

hmmm, 'complete greatest hits' only has Stay loose from the East of midnight album on it. but richard marx didnt sing on that one. so why is he mentioned?

thats cool... he's not on GG vol2 cause that was recorded with the touring band in the studio (apart from a few songs which are taken from their respective albums).

Patybear, if you buy a CD for Wreck, you should probably buy either Summertime Dream or Complete Greatest Hits. Both of those CDs have the original recording. The version on GG2 is a rerecording, from 1988. It's good too, but it isn't the original recording - the one people know from the radio (and the one with Pee Wee Charles' incomparable pedal steel). So, to please "B.F." who probably knows the song from the original version, you should go for a CD with that recording.

Personally, I'd recommend Complete Greatest Hits because it samples his entire career, has great songs, and was remastered by Bill Inglot, one of the best in the business.
