Just returned from Gordon's Anaheim (California) concert at the Sun Theatre. Stand-out tunes were the beautifully played and sung "Ghosts of Cape Horn" (which Lightfoot described as a surreal song), Blackberry Wine (which, for whatever reason, always sounds fantastic live) and the melancholy, haunting, wonderful "Restless" (a song which I wish would never end). After the show, my wife and I waited with eight others outside the venue, near the bus and equipment truck. In about an hour, Gordon came out and autographed albums and tickets (and someone's tamborine). He graciously thanked us for waiting so long, and of course we thanked him for his music. A memorable evening with a talented, hard-working and very friendly gentleman.

Hearing these reports makes me want him to come down to Australia even more!
Does anyone know what the chances are?. I don't think he's toured here since 1974 (before my time!) |
