Started listening to Gordon Lightfoot back in the early 70's, loved his outdoorsy look and his wonderfull poetry (music). At the same time my other favorites were Cat Stevens, Tull, CS&N, Joni Mitchell. Recently started to replace all these favorites with cds, replacing all those lps and hey any oldies out there remember 8-tracks? ha!ha! I remember driving out to Cape Cod in early Oct. in the 70's with the 8-track playing, the Summertime Dream tape, what a great weekend it was. It feels so good to listen to his songs, no matter how old they are, bring back good memories, whilst his words create "great pictures" in one's head, that's a true artist, storyteller. Wish I had a way I could personally tell him how much I enjoy his work http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
