re: Prior to falling ill in September 2002, Lightfoot had done guitar/vocal demos of 18 new songs in preparation for going into the studio in November, 2002 with his band for the fullblown "Harmony" sessions. But fate intervened..

I wanna hear all 18 songs! In fact, I wanna hear those sessions entirely.. just the guy and the guitar etc.. whataya say..

I'm totally with you!!!

I always wish, he would bring out a CD with just his voice and his guitar. It could be nothing but beautiful. Gives me goosebumps just thinking of it :)

He went in over two days (is my understanding) in Toronto somewhere with just an engineer etc.. and laid down this stuff (the stuff we know on Harmony save for the two live tracks etc.) and a buncha other stuff.. I bet its just gold.. Think Harmony and Inspiration Lady, 18 tracks just like that, stripped bare.. I bet he did Shellfish in the studio that day too.. c'mon Gord.. slip me some crimson Jimson.. etc..

I read somewhere that he was contemplating putting together a CD of live performance recordings which he has stashed away. I also read somewhere that he had toyed at one point with the idea of putting together a CD with only sea-related songs. Either or both would be wonderful!

The studio sessions for Harmony would be incredible, I agree with you on that one too.
