Does anyone know a song I believe was written and performed by Gordon Lightfoot.
It goes like this (and was sung achipella):

"..My name is Penny Evans, and I've just turned 21.."

Is it called the Ballad of Penny Evans, and if so where can I find it?

"Ballad of Penny Evans"

Not Gord - the late, great Steve Goodman. I believe it's on "Somebody Else's Troubles" (were I at home at the moment I could look). Go into any of the on-line CD stores and pop in STeve Goodman - you'll find it on one compilation album or another. Dynamite, devestating song!
