Interesting. What's the link? Thanks.

For a much better version, check the studio tracks interspersed in the 1973 Aloha from Hawaii concert. Elvis also did a VERY good version of For Lovin' Me.

I'd heard that concert was never to be released, according to the family.
But, I would dearly love to see it. As much pain as that man went thru (self inflicted or not - or a combination, perhaps,) he never lost his heart - or voice/soul. How would we locate it? The Rez |
Didn't Elvis also do The Way I Feel?

No.
Elvis did For Lovin' Me and Early Morning Rain only. Unless there is some circulating home recording I'm not aware of. I could be wrong, as I've not researched it. But as a HUGE Elvis fan, that sounds like something I'd have kept track of. |
There really is no link to it, I was able to download the concert online off Morpheus.

Elvis did a nice rendition of EMR -- I really like it.

Incidentally, being a big Elvis fan. It was his version's of those two Lightfoot song's (particularly "For Lovin' Me"), which first enticed me to seek out Gord's own versions! So Thanks to Elvis! They both feature on an album called "A Canadian Tribute", which was released on gold vinyl around 1978. There are are other songs written by Canadian artists that Elvis recorded on here, Buffy St. Marie, Paul Anka etc.
