Today I looked out over the English Channel and had a few private thoughts about the Fitz which sank 25 years ago today. The event feels a long way away and and long time ago, but playing the song again always seems fresh. What does this day mean to you?

Welcome back,RDP. You were missed!

The Edmund Fitzgerald went down on November 10 ... and today is Nov 11
Rememberance Day all over the world,
honouring the memory of all those lost
in WW1,WW2 and other wars, and it is indeed fitting to remember the men lost on the 'Fitz' 25 years ago also.
Let's wear the blood red Poppy
for them also while we spare a thought for
their families and loved ones. Ironic that
the Fitz should sink on the day before
Rememberance Day!

My alarm went off around 7:30 a.m. yesterday morning (10th) and Gord began The Wreck about 2 seconds later. The volume was quite loud because my son had been listening to the radio the night before and hadn't turned it down! I woke up VERY fast!
There was a clip of a family member of a lost seaman saying she wished there wasn't as much attention anymore because it makes it hard to move on.
