This was an early attempt, by Gord, at rock&roll. I've checked Napster, Bear Share,
Audiogalaxy with no luck. Any info?

I heard it played once on CHFI FM in Toronto.

Daisy Doo was released only on records. It was a 45 (on Chateau in Canada, ABC in the US, and Decca (or maybe Fontana) in the UK). It was also included on an LP issued by AME in 1971, which included it and 9 other early recordings - all from the 1962 Chateau recording sessions. That LP is called Early Lightfoot and it, like the single, is sold occasionally by used record dealers.

Two songs from those early sessions (but not Daisy Doo) were included by Lightfoot on the 1999 4 CD boxed set Songbook (from Rhino Records). Those two, Remember Me (I'm the One) and It's Too Late, He Wins are in a similar late 50s/early 60s style and certainly bring a smile to the face of any Lightfoot fan.

This sounds like an interesting song. I checked this site for the lyrics, but they are not listed. What kind of an attempt is made at rock-n-roll? Soft-rock? etc.

Daisy Doo
(A)* (G)* (D)* (A)*
(D)
Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo
(G) Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo, (D) Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo
Her name is (A) Daisy, she drives me (G) crazy
(D) Well I need her kind of loving, man

(D) I own a gal she's mine all mine, she got perfume like turpentine
(G) She got a shape like a penny match
(D) She like to tear and kick and scratch
Her name is (A) Daisy, she drives me (G) crazy
(D) Well I need her kind of loving, man

(G) She went around with a Texas cat
(D) He drove around in a big Cadillac
(E) Smashed up his Caddy when I cut him out
(A) Now all he does is scream and shout

She got a head, daddy like a tack, her head of hair like an old haystack
Although her shoe is number nine, I think her love is mighty fine
Her name is Daisy, she drives me crazy
Well I need her kind of loving, man

She went around with a Texas cat, he drove around in a big Cadillac Smashed up his Caddy when I cut him out, now all he does is scream and shout Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo
Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy Doo
Her name is Daisy, she drives me crazy Well I need her kind of loving, man
