Now that has to be one of the cutest things I have seen in a very long time!! :)

David - what a delightful addition! Name and details, please.
|
Cesky Terrier born Nov 28, 2005. Her name is Greta and we also own her mother (Flisa) and Grandmother (Borka).
They have the beard and forelock, and have short hair on the back and head, and long hair on the legs and tummy. Short legs and about 10 kg when fully grown. Very much a people dog and do not like to be on their own. Shy with strangers but devoted and loving to their owner. Above average intelligence, very good hearted, and on the softer side of the terrier line. Colours range from very dark grey (you'd say black if you don't look closely), light & dark medium grey, and a light grey that is almost silver. They are all born dark, and may/may not change their colour in the first year. |
What a beauty, David and still just a baby. I bet she keeps you hopping. Since you are adept at picture posting one of the three generations would be nice <hinting>.
|
What a cracker. Cuddle quotient = off the scale.
She gets a vote from Sydney as Corfid's Playmate of the Month ! You have 3 dogs ? You possibly win another prize in the category of " Most dogs in a Corfidian's Home " too ? Any challengers out there ? Onya David. |
Ok Brink, I'll post some more pics when I am home early in the week. I just happened to have G at work on my desktop.
Actually Steve, we have 6 dogs at home (or really 5 1/2 :D ), but we live on a horse farm so there is lots of privacy and plenty of room for them to roam free. Add to that a couple of cats... Now as for the picture posting adeptness, I'm afraid I cannot take much credit for it. Nor can the extensive teachings of Sir John. See, I used photobucket.com, and they provide the IMG code with the pic, so all I had to do was copy and paste. No mucking about at all! |
that is TOO adorable...so cute!
I'm NOT showing it to Lisa...she'll drive me nuts wanting one... |
So sweet!!
|
All together now: aawwwwwww....
|
|
where the heck do you GET that stuff, SM?? Man, you're good!!
|
|
Great looking dog really is man's best friend.

Cathy, that remark reminds of a 'true' story. A guy had a lovely 'Old English Sheep Dog' and his friends kept telling him to enter it in a dog show. Sounds like "Mr Tanner." He eventually did, but whilst brushing the hair over the dogs eyes, the eyes crossed. The guy was frantic with worry. The fellow next to him saw his plight, took a glass tube out of his case, stuck it up the dogs A**E and blew into it. The dogs eyes flipped back to normal. The owner was overjoyed. The fellow gave the tube to the guy in case it happened again. It did. So the guy poked the tube back up the poor old dog and blew, nothing, he blew and blew, nothing. The fellow saw the problem, took the tube out turned it round and poked the other end up and blew, hey presto, back to normal. The owner said, "Hey how did that happen, what difference does it make which end you blow up?" "No difference at all," said the guy, "but do you expect me to put my mouth where yours has been?" |
LOL!

Having been on numerous dog shows with our Cesky Terriers, that story is an absolute first for me but I love it! Mind you, considering that I am an animal lover first and foremost, and people are often somewhat farther down on my list, I find the story quite believable.
Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the promised pictures of mom and grandma. I still have to do some digging but will come up with the goods shortly. |

Ok, here is the rest of the gang - a pic from maybe two years ago. The first three from the left are Greta's mother, grandma, and grandpa. The other two are from another bloodline and are niece and aunt to each other.
Borka, Flisa, Grim, Enya, and Yllet. Although I love them dearly, it was NOT easy to get this pic. :D http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...sf/hundar4.jpg |
Oh my! I want one!
|
I imagine it would have been akin to getting 5 toddlers to sit still for a picture!! They're adorable.
|
Very true, Sheryl. I've found the best idea for that type of picture taking is not to plan anything. Just take the camera out for the day and have fun, regardless of what happens. Sooner or later you'll get your chance, as long as you don't push your luck or get your hopes up. Just let it all unfold naturally.
|
David, they are so precious!!! That is a great picture, since you say that you have 5 1/2 dogs I take it that these are the other 5 and Greta would be the half?
Thanks for finding it and posting it for us. |
Oh, how cute! I think I like the light colored one the best.

David, how are they with each other? Is there a dominance with Grandmother to the rest? |
How adorable Greta and the rest of the family are! I love that group photo - they are all even looking the in same direction. I know it probably wasn't easy and took several attempts to gain that final product, but you rarely see a family of humans that cooperative so to see it so perfectly depicted with a "family" of pups (even if it was just chance)is brilliant :D

Flisa (mama) and Enya (the silver one) will occasionally fight as they are still young, the same age and not related, so they are jockeying for rank over one another. Grim, the only male, is akin to the King's fool. He is part of the family but has no particular rank as he is neither a submissive nor a dominant. He just goes his own way and somehow manages to live happily amongst a pack of females. :D Grim is also my best friend and constant shadow, even though I love them all. Confused yet? :) |
