Well folks it looks like the Station will be vacant for a few weeks as we are moving back to the East Coast to live. I am shipping my computer around the 13th or 14th so you will not hear from me for a while. I am hoping to have the "PICTURE" post completed by then so please guess your hearts out over the next few days. There are less than 20 releases left so we should be able to complete it. I just need a few volunteers to watch the Station while I'm away. Please sign below if you are interested. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Cathy,
Just blow a whistle instead. They do that here sometimes. Other times they give no warning at all, as the trains are expected to leave on time. |
So,is your Station AM or Fm?? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif
In advance, have a nice trip! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ "A knight of the road, going back to a place where he might get warm." ;) - Borderstone |
Hey Stationmaster, if you get to missing us too much you can always run into a library or an internet cafe and say "hi" from there.
Seriously though, we will be looking forward to your return as soon as you're able. Have a smooth and safe move. I don't envy you the packing and unpacking work. What a chore that is, especially if you've aquired as much indispensible crap as I have http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif |
Well Janice moving is all bad enough, but we still have to deal with buying and packing gifts, putting up a tree and getting ready for the season. Not to mention being unemployed! http://www.smilieland.com/graphics2/sa65.gif

I'll be OK as long as I have my computer and Lightfoot CD's... http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Cathy just moved she can give you many tips I'm sure. Quite a move though, be safe, we will miss you. Good Luck on the employment you were here when I was out of work it was scary. Take care!
BTW East Coast where? By Cathy? [This message has been edited by brink (edited December 05, 2004).] |
Hope you have smooth move SM. Lousy timing, but just keep the GL music flowing...this too will pass!
|
Best wishes for a safe and happy move, Stationmaster. I'll miss you. Like Janice said, IN YOUR SPARE TIME, you can always check out an internet cafe and say Hi!!! If it wasn't for my GL CD's I'd be one very frazzled person, so definitely keep 'em around. Got a portable CD player? Use it -- maybe they make one that attaches so while you walk around you can listen and chill out. I just got one for my daughter and although I probably SHOULD know about personal electronics at my age, I really don't bother with them, so excuse my ignorance. I'm sending happy and warm thoughts to you for the holiday season and that you find employment of your choosing that makes you happy.
|
Yes, I have a portable player that plugs into the car as well. We're moving back to Newfoundland so we're looking at 2 days drive for sure. I should be able to get through a few albums by then!
|
Newfoundland -- that is way cool (no pun intended). I just checked out a map to see where it is. Yes, I'm an ignorant little Angeleno (from Los Angeles) who doesn't know anything east of San Bernardino. Well, not much, anyway. My husband is from Toronto, and I actually visited there back in '86 (before he and I met). I remember Canadians were very polite and it was a very clean place. My mother-in-law has a funny (true) story about that. An L.A. filming company was there -- it was supposed to be New York -- and they'd spread trash all over the street for the shoot. Then, it was lunch break, everyone took off. The local street cleaners showed up, were shocked to the gills, and CLEANED IT ALL UP, much to the dismay of the film crew when they'd all returned from lunch!!

Well I guess COOL would be correct! What else would you expect from an island in the North Atlantic. lol. Seriously though, we do have some nice weather there, but nothing like California.
|
Newfoundland??? Brrrrrr. It's all I can do to handle winter here this year, I can't imagine a Newfoundland winter. Brrrrrrrr. Stay warm. I hope you land the job of your dreams once you get there.

Now I will no longer be the person who is further north and east than anyone on the site. I can actually make fun of you now! Hey, you can come southeast and visit me any time you want. Cathy http://www.cathycowette.com |
Hey I just realized something. There are no trains left in Newfoundland! The tracks were dismantled in the 80's. I guess I will have to change my name to "airportmaster" or "busmaster"
|
good luck with all, SM...wishing you the best
you should log back in as 'East of Midnight" ....WAY East! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif |
I think it will be more like "Cold On The Shoulder" and "Farewell To Nova Scotia" once I board the ferry. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Well I am packing up some boxes now, my computer will be last! lol. I have to keep Gord playing as long as I can. |

Well folks, this is it! The computer is now official OFF. I feel like I am going in for some kinda major surgury here. I don't know when I will be online again. It's kinda scary! I think the "PICTURE" thread turned me into a cyborg or something. I'm going through panic attacks just thinking about pulling the cord. It feels like I am pulling the plug on a loved one. Well thanks for everything folks, hope to see you all soon! Seasons Greetings from The Station.
