Superior packaging{lyrics, liner notes, extra photographs, pictures of him on disc etc...}
The question is ...
Would you buy them all again?!

Like I think I mentioned somewhere else, the 1999 'Songbook' IS remastered, so we already have 88 songs updated.

What I'm getting REALLY ANNOYED AT http://www.corfid.com/ubb/mad.gif is Warner Bras. not releasing the 'Final Four'!!
We're being held hostage! What do they want--my first born? Fine! My UA CDs? Fine! My whatever? Fine!

We've got people from all over the world here--seems like mostly writers and ATTORNEYS. Couldn't we file suit under the Freedom of Info Act (US law) to "borrow" these masters, with Gord's OK, of course? There must be someone at Eastern Sound who could re-master the tapes! After she finishes her current project, Char could start burning the remastered masters onto CDs and we'll all send Gord our $15US (100CAN?) per and we'll all live in a happier world. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif Sorry, had to vent!

Relax, Florian, I'm not REALLY plotting a hostile takeover bid of WB, least not today. But this IS a violation of the US Constitution and Code--Cruel and Unusual Punishment! IMHO, anyway.

Sorry, wrong question. It should be:

I have always purchased every LP or CD at least twice, one for safekeeping in the original wrapping and one to be used.

With regards to the " Final Four", it is apparrent from Songbook, that those CD's CAN be issued. While I loved hearing the 18 unreleased tunes, hearing Sea of Tranquility finally on CD was a blessing. Perhaps if Warner Bros won't, maybe Rhino will. How difficult can it be to do this small favour? On a more morbid note, what is WB waiting for? Gord to die before they release them?

I hope that the four disks are not combined. That would be a tragedy (for ODR and Shadows especially, IMHO). And how could you pair them up? Dream Street, Shadows and Salute are chonological, so I guess putting them together is somewhat logical. Wouldn't like it though. As long as ODR is separate I could live with it.

I agree with you.I would prefer four single CD's. But for marketing and sales purposes I think they will compile them.
