For all you who know the beauty of spending time in Northern Canada, you'll enjoy the next matchup that a Corfider has proposed. Gord has always evoked the Canadian landscape in his writing. It is a very special part of Gord's repertoire. I love to listen to these songs and get lost in the imagery of the Canadian north. It's no wonder that when people think of Canada, Gordon Lightfoot comes naturally to mind. Which of these evocotive northern songs do you prefer?

a weird one...

i loved whispers of the north.

at the time my grandfather died in 1999, i was listening to the Paintre album a lot. i used to hate ringneck loon, but nowadays, it reminds me of a great time in my life, despite the circumstances..

absolutely "Whispers of the North", I love the backing vocals, which I believe Gord done himself. Love the bird effects at the start too.

"Whispers of the North", a beautiful and somewhat haunting song. I love it.
