Stormfront, following in a close second - time, the rushing river ;)

SilverHeels 05-14-2006 04:36 PM

Time the Rushing River. Two Gords for the price of one. :)
But seriously, I love 'em both.

Janice 05-14-2006 05:32 PM

Both are very nice, but my vote goes to Time, The Rushing River - I rather like that title, as well as the artwork itself.

Sheryl 05-14-2006 09:44 PM

Time, the Rushing River. The first one makes Gord look like a "rocker" (as in rock 'n roll). Both good artwork, don't get me wrong, just my personal preference. Oh, and at first I didn't get the superimposition of Gord's earlier picture over the (relatively) newer one; then I spotted it. Nice job, ZR!

I have to go with Stormfront because I love the artwork.

Mind you, the main pic in Time is one of my all-time favourite Gord pics.

So kudos to ZR on this one. Two terrific album covers!

DJ in MJ 05-15-2006 02:21 AM

Oh, and note to Sheryl. I missed the superimposed picture too. For a few minutes there I couldn't figure out why that side of Gord's body was so much lighter in colour! Then when I read Bru's post I went and had another look and... :)

SilverHeels 05-15-2006 02:46 AM

David, that is one of my all time fave pics of him too. I have a small copy of it right here on my computer. I'm sure you really wanted to know that. :D
lol

Time The Rushing River gets my vote....

Both are very good. My vote goes to Time...The Rushing River, seems more like Gordon.

And more power to you, Bru!

The "Time" pic is one of my faves because it bears an incredible striking resemblence to a close friend of mine. But only the one picture. Otherwise you can easily tell the two apart!

And yes, he is a Gord fan too, and he and his wife joined me at Massey for the Big Show sometime back in the early 90s.

SilverHeels 05-15-2006 04:06 PM

he's married - a Gord lookalike and he's married! Dammit! The Gods are teasing me again. ;)

Borderstone 05-15-2006 08:37 PM

The first one,definetly!

Actually Bru, these days it's ex-wife, so perhaps if I can convince him to go to Massey again...

SilverHeels 05-16-2006 07:29 AM

o-kay! Now you're talking! LOL

SilverHeels 05-16-2006 04:07 PM

Deb ... remember I am taller than you ... back off. LOL

charlene 05-16-2006 04:18 PM

ahem....David and I are Canucks...Orillia/Whitby-90 minutes apart...(never mind that he's in Sweden now) so I'm thinking one Canuck would be doing another Canuck a favour....
right David???
lol

Well if he is a Gord lookalike, he *must* be six feet tall ;)

(FYI, Bru and I both know that Gord is not 6 feet tall - for those who may not have been around a few years ago and therefore don't get my joke, let me explain - the topic of Gord's height came up and one member who no longer posts, swore up and down that he was 6' tall and adamantly blasted anyone who said differently [adamantly blasting was her specialty]. It was one of those threads that was mildly frustrating and annoying, at the time, but is rather humorous looking back on it and has become somewhat of a standing joke to some of us who were here back then. Now that I say that, although several Corfidians were involved in the discussion, I'm wondering if it actually took place at Corfid or another Lightfoot site.....nonetheless, the joke is still the same :) )

SilverHeels 05-17-2006 11:38 AM

J,
I think it was at the other place but as you say, it is still a good laugh. :D

Janice 05-17-2006 12:00 PM

Bru - I couldn't remember for sure, but I feared that might be the case. Even so, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for my response knowing that you would get it :D

At the same time, I didn't want anyone to feel left out, like it was a private joke or something, so I left my explanation.

charlene 05-17-2006 03:32 PM

LOL! I can't remember either!
lol
I do remember the 'discussion" tho!

Hmm, he's maybe 6"1' or 6"2'. Age would be mid-late 40s. Slim and strong build but not skinny.

As for who gets him, I adore all the lovely ladies here, so sort it out amongst yourselves and I'll introduce the winner. :D

It was a doozie, wasn't it :D

To satisfy my own curiosity, I did a search on Corfid (which I didn't have time to do earlier) and found a "How tall is Gordy" thread, but it's not the one we're talking about, so that one must have been at the Yahoo site that LAMS created. It's difficult to keep track at times, because some of us post at the same multiple places.
