Don't despair - they may not have yet finalized dates. Massey frequently adds shows to the concert schedule as the year progresses.

Jenney,
Will tickets be available or did most people who had tickets for the cancelled shows hold onto them ?

About half of the people that bought tickets that I know of kept them, but the others returned them for a refund. I would expect tickets to sell out quickly whenever it is announced.

B,
Assuming for the moment that it will probably be a 'limited' tour I think you should plan on a trip to Massey. Just to play it safe. I thought you folks from out there were already working on logistics for the road trip.

Mrbluetunes, I've really gained a new appreciation for Gordon Lightfoot, and his music, recently. listening to the tribute CD, his own recordings and covers by other bands.
His music is such of part of our Canadiana. I hadn't realized how many of his songs had echoed over my childhood. I'm sure that is true for so many of us.
We've heard that he will be back with performances at Hamilton Place (November 21st & 22nd) and that The Good Brothers will be opening. We're anxiously awaiting the announcement and ticket sales.
I'm going to listen to INSPIRATION LADY again with those thoughts in mind." http://discussions.bluerodeo.com/eve...82&m=222104237

Gotta take it with a grain of salt, considering the source. Where did they get the info? Was it in there and I missed it?
I can only read so much idol gushing... or misinformation (thx for setting that straight Char lol)before I go bonkers.

ps Char, didn't he also say that those songs were written in one of those "rollercoaster dips" and that the death of relationship is almost like an actual death? I have to find that interview again to be sure...

charlene 08-27-2004 09:03 AM

that's what he said....
he also said in another interview that he had only his music in his life when he was getting better-"that's why i'm on this planet" sort of thing as well...it was an interview before the IDOLS show. i'll have to check...
the songs were written and recorded by him BEFORE he got sick...
