Right good guess John. :) Unfortunatley,I used all my brian power and I cannot even begin to make a guess to the reference in the cartoon.

Anyone else?

ah, I guess I'll take a stab at the reference, Assuming it is not a reference to the previous song that was guessed at.
It could refer to the tune "Let It Ride",

Joe If that is a stab at supplying the tune for "Out To Lunch" it failed miserably.
Check again above I believe that I said very clearly:-
"(the 1968 CBC program) above actually shows tbe actual and ultra rare unreleased song"
I cannot see any reference to "Let it ride" in that program and in any case "Let It Ride " is
  • not an unreleased song
  • it was written and released a long time after 1968

ah yes, a miserable guess it was. I should probably have thought about it and read your hint before posting. you said 1968, where i was thinking 1986. My bad!
