This is one of my favorites. Love the energy and fun spirit of this song. :)

That Canadian guitar sounds very good, J.J. :) I like the name of it, too.

His 6 string is a "SEAGULL", but he sometimes uses a 12 string that I did not try to see what make it is yet. :)

The Watchman is such a great song. I have loved it from the first time I ever heard it.

Yes, we do sometimes forget to appreciate life until we get hit with an eye opener.

Really, I think this is such a great song. I think most of us can relate to that feeling of wanting to find our easy road...comforting times...down hill moments.
I love the way Gordon puts images together in his songs. He has a way of singing songs that feel like they came right out of your own heart and mind.

Great job on that one, David. Very nice cover :)

This is my first time hearing this song.
Very powerful and moving.
It's hard not to cry when you sit and listen to the lyrics and the melody is just very beautiful, as so many of his songs are.

Great job Nightingale, a very good song for Kefera to sing... I once again enjoy his laugh at the end. The 12 string sounded in pretty good tune on that one. :)

David (Kefera) is a wonderful person. I will always think about him. Here is my favorite video of him, that is not a Gordon Lightfoot song... He does laugh at the begining of this one as well.

THought I'd bring Kefera back up to the top...for obvious reasons.

Is Kefera his name and who is nightinggale?...the same?

We need to use GOOGLE EARTH to PLOT all the locations of these great Covers.. as well as the REAL GL current touring.

Kefera is David Albion, a very talented musician that has tons of stuff on YouTube.

Nightingale is me, Annie from Indiana...lol. Corfid member that brings Kefera videos over so that others can hear him. Jesse Joe, (you remember him, right?) and I would have a contest to see who could get the newest Kefera video here first.
Just one of those weird things people do...lol.

perhaps it's simpler for interested members to bookmark his youtube channel rather than link all the performances, neatly from scratch?

Yes, the last time I had an email from David he was doing great. The chemo treatments have done their job and he is in remission and recovering from the effects of the chemo.
Soaking up the Florida sunshine and visiting with family...all good medicine that is helping him on the road to wellness.

Yes, I see your point about posting the videos. You will have to show/tell me how you post the link rather than the video itself. I have just always done it the way Jesse Joe taught me and don't know any other way.
Or...maybe I will just let the rest of you take care of it :)

you do it the same way except you scroll down on the page here and click on GO ADVANCED..that will open up a window. There is an MISCELLANIOUS option area to embed media.
UNCHECK it before putting the link in the Message box.
Doing that should have the link only show up. If you PREVIEW POST and then hit SUBMIT REPLY the unchecked option will check itself however and the video itself will be posted.

you're right, char...i don't think my tutorial (which doesn't come close to riveling a JF101 course :) ) is any more clear but i pasted it again becuase of the last line regarding "editing" ...i'd clean up some of these but only the poster or moderator can do so

i don't know a way of making the non-embed option a user default
