Well darlin, I haven't resorted to checking URLs as it takes the fun outta it for me. Plus, to be honest, I didn't even think of it until someone else brought it up. heh. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box,eh?

LSH 08-16-2004 07:41 PM

John, Think I have it. My first thought was Sea of Tranquility, but that's not it, just the first song it brought to mind. I realized it's sky, ocean, AND beach.

It's Worth Believing. That one about busted my brain pan. He has too many water songs for that to be easy...
Anyway, that's my best guess...

stationmaster 08-16-2004 07:43 PM

Eh?

LSH 08-16-2004 07:43 PM

SM, not ignoring yours, but I have it, and thought I'd let others guess. We seem to be on close to same time alot, which makes it rather unfair for me to hog them all http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

LSH 08-16-2004 08:10 PM

What SM, you don't see it? In the quilt square? It's the shoreline of the sea at night. What other song could it be?

"...is something wrong with you?"

stationmaster 08-16-2004 10:22 PM

Could it be that I'm the fool?

Borderstone 08-16-2004 10:41 PM

Stationmaster:"Old Dan's (or Dance) Records". http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

Okay,I'll let others guess for a bit. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yep, that's the one that Barbara made Jiminy. It became one of my favorites, as it was so simple, yet conveyed so much. I still "see" some of these quilt squares in my mind when I hear the songs.

I was going to guess Spin Spin for the records, never even thought of ODR.

John, still waiting to hear what a general dogsbody is!

sorry Jenney
I should have realised this was not a word in use over here but a quick check at http://www.dictionary.com revealed:-
"pl. dogsˇbodˇies Chiefly British Slang. One who does menial work; a drudge."

My concise English dictionary says:-
"a person who carries out menial tasks for others"
Either is a good description of a champion tour guide in my book
Laurel you are too good the first prize will be on its way very shortly and the prize for getting it's worth believing will follow too
The following square is for interest only because jj here put the title on it prominently!!Nice one Jimbo ('ll answer your e-mail soon)

there are a few other less obvious ones yet

another quilt square:-
http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/square32.jpg
Not hard once you realise as embaressingly did the the quilter rather too late that she had named the wrong continent!!Although think Gord noticed at the unveiling
