Are you torturing your students now with those obscure words??? Before an excam you could give a hint that it wouldn't hurt to listen to this or that Lightfoot tune and memorize the lyrics. Not only would they learn beautiful poetry but the youngsters get also introduced to one of the greatest singer/songwriters. Two birds with one stone, so to speak... :D |
Quite right,Claudia, just two weeks ago I started a new teaching unit - subject: "The Red Man"- with our beloved song ´Cherokee Bend`.The girls liked it a lot, the boys not that much -not cool enough, I suppose.But of course I tell all my students to closely listen to their respective favorite music for reasons stated above.
