Re: My first portrait of Gordon Lightfoot
hi ness, great...then again, one doesn't feel like they are being creative when using a tool like that but it does come in handy...again, i am not sure if it's suitable for oils (which i know nothing of)...i have much patience but still prefer the acrylic and blow dryer approach, lol
btw, ironic that you mention Joni's River...i just added it to my Christmas compilation about 30 minutes before you posted...i was going to use Sarah Machlachlan or Rondstadts versions but went with Mitchell's (also because I don't struggle with spelling her last name, lol) |
Re: My first portrait of Gordon Lightfoot
Very very nice Vanessa.
But take it from a graphic designer like me, put a larger watermark on that pic or someone could easily take it into Photoshop and make it their own. If you know what I mean.. |
Re: My first portrait of Gordon Lightfoot
Gee that is a great painting, you are really tallented. No need to expand on your talents so lets just move into the reality of it all. You should approach the Maritime Museum on Whitefish Bay Mich or the SS Valley Camp Great Lakes Freighter museum in the Soo (which has two of the Fitzs Lifeboats on display) or some other museum..maybe even Massey hall or Gords office...Early Morn Productions.
Keep at it. Most famous painters gave away 90% of their work before they were know. Go for it. n Quote:
