If I got a phone call from Gord I would honestly say "Gord who?" Then I would immediately cruise through my memory banks for everything I have ever put on this board and figure out a way to blame someone else. DMD3 comes to mind, but I would probably have to blame Bill for wearing the clear panties and befuddling my mind. Then I'd tell him my real name was Sheila (heheh).

TheWatchman 12-06-2004 11:19 PM

If I got a call from Gord I would tell him I told you years ago I didn't steal your Zippo so don't ask me again.

Brisket City is so good someone might believe that one. I want to see the Kosher Lightfoot pic.

LSH 12-07-2004 12:01 AM

I think Gord misplaced the zippo himself out of guilt over the Lyle "incident".
It was probably a reminder of Lyle nearly tartar.

TheWatchman 12-07-2004 12:04 AM

That's what I told him! I don't think he felt guilty at all over eating Lyle near tar-tar. He looked like a bum eating a sandwich.

LSH 12-07-2004 12:20 AM

I'm sure he did, but he's probably in denial. Otherwise he wouldn't be obsessing over the zippo...right?

Sheryl Klein 12-07-2004 02:21 AM

Sue, that was TRULY hysterical!! I'm still wiping the tears from my eyes! I almost smothered myself with my hand in front of my mouth trying to keep from laughing so hard that I'd wake the kids!! VERY VERY FUNNY!!! You should submit this to Leno!!

Sheryl Klein 12-07-2004 02:48 AM

Oh, JJ, those side-curls you asked about? They're called "payess."

Also, what is the "Lyle incident??" And what's this about a Zippo lighter?

jj 12-07-2004 04:23 AM

maybe i could do both at once and have a Rabbi Rapper? lol

payees, eh? thanks, Sheryl http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Cathy, you are too funny! Yeah, just what wouldn't we say to him if he called? Brink? Got any ideas???!!!

i'd give him some Lazy Mornin' attitude:

"hello there and way to go Gordon,
you're keepin' up with the Joneses,
but after my posting of your pic,
i'd hoped no one'd telephone us!"

The skull cap worn by observant Jewish men is called a "Kippah"(pronounced KEE-PAH.) in Hebrew.
The Yiddish word for it is "Yarmulke"(pronounced Yahmakkah)

A KEE-PAH, huh? Wow. Here in Northern Maine, that's what we call trout that are big enough to keep. "Eh-yup. That's a keepah."

Oh God. I'm laughing so hard right now. Give me a few minutes to clear my head so I can come up with some song titles.
Come on guys. Give me some help. We might as well all get in trouble as a group!

Hey! We didn't do it. Nobody saw us do it! You can't prove anything!

My sides hurt from laughing!

And I thought you didn't have the nerve to do it, JJ.

Cathy http://www.cathycowette.com

LSH 12-07-2004 07:42 PM

Already there Cath, check it out!
Thanks Watchman and Sheryl. So much fun...I think we should make this one a double CD so Ry and I can keep going...

Sheryl Klein 12-07-2004 07:46 PM

well, WAY TO GO, lsh and little homie! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

i've been trying to 'get jiggy' but most of those are over my head (hip hop is almost as foreign to a trailer guy like me, as Hebrew is, lol)

i'm surpried that Bru or Char hasn't requested a hitman Italiano Gordo...wasn't he actually a Soprano when he first sang at Massey Hall? lol

ever see that A&E "Growin Up Gotti"?
well, how about Growin Up Gordi? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

(hey, i already gave the "expicit language" warning, eh? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif)

jj coolio http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

ps) i like that word: bliiiing...whatzit mean?

ok, edit: i was just rereading and ok, can't friggen type, eh... oh this is rap so i can rephrase that" i can't F***ING type!!!!"...there, that's more like it, lol

Gord H, hey thanks for the correction WAY back on Auld Lang Syne but it was actually the Syne part i was asking about but the Land word was totally a typo...come on, the d is fairly close to the g, eh? lol

btw, YOU guys pick say, the a top 8 or so to put on the cover, i hate editing people's creativity..then, well fix the cover say tomorrow http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif i love the title as In My M.O. (what's that?), lsh, so let's go with it...should i replace Snoop Gordd? Puff Gorddy? let me know, all, this is a democracy http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

ps) wow, a Scottish/Jewish grandma, eh? heck, i'll bet she gives REAL expensive gifts, eh? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/frown.gif

I'll pick five and let others pick the rest or shoot mine down http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

2) Canary Yellow Cadillac
3) Dream Street Ho's

ps jj DON'T CHANGE THE NAME! SNOOP GORDD is the best..snoop dogg is very laid back, so it's perfect...

Ok I was going to content myself with a trio of of rapping hits
Rapping Silver Cloud Blues
Rapping In My Sleep
Rap Among The Ruins
pretty tame stuff so I a'googled for rap hits and found a site giving the lyrics (if you can call them that)
of the top 20 rap songs of 2003 amongst which I found
the lyrics to Read My Mind by Avant which contains these relevant gems
I can read your mind, babe (Oh)
My truck is parked out front, so let’s ride
So baby, take a ride with me
It’s alright (With me, yeah, yeah)
and although not directly Gord related but I liked the great literary merit of this stanza
"I know you wanna see, I know you wanna be
In my B-E-D grindin’ slowly"
there was also
Artist: Jay-z
Song Title: Dirt off your shoulder lyrics
as I suspected many of the songs contain really disgusting lyrics
and one must not forget in the circumstances
Jimmy Ate World's great song "my sundown"
which has the immortal line
"Good goodbye tin sunshine."
and hey on the Jewish album you forgot Wailing Walls
and i noted from
the official list of the most requested Hip Hop and Rap hits of all time
number one is tada tada
1. Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot
and I liked
18. Take It To da House - Trick Daddy
and
26. Summertime - DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince
http://www.popculturemadness.com/Mus...-Waving-3D.gif
that's it folks
John Fowles
What a super topic this turned into!!!
As Char is fond of saying it really cracks me up
