Oh....everything is changed again. Tomorrow our grandaughter and her parents are going into the doctor at 9 am. Our daughter just called. She said that the doctor said he can't tell them anything over the phone, so they have to come in to talk to him. I don't know if that sounds really ominous or not.

I WILL NOT think of this as ominous. Will keep thinking in the vein that you all have been replying. Thank you all again. Your thoughts and prayers mean more than you can ever know. Thank you

Hi Louise,

Which doctor is she going to? I think I have lost track.

We have been through some scares with our grandchildren too (we have 9).

I am sending a lot of positive energy to you and your family.

I think that I have lost track, too. The regular doctor is still on vacation, so this is just a doctor that is filling in, but out daughter and son-inlaw want to talk to someone in person, as no one will tell them anything over the phone because of the "right to privacy law." (Is that what it is called?) Thank you so much for listening.....I'm sure I'm not making much sense. LOL :)

all the very best for the child's health, and to wee ones worldwide, even the monstrous ones are angels in disguise, don't let the ups+downs of the waiting game get all too down

That is ridiculous to leave them hanging like that overnight. We all have a tendency in situations like this to think the absolute worst. What you all must be going through...

Now, let's all step up our prayers for the little girl and remember that faith, hope and love abide, but the greatest of these is love. And where Grandparents are concerned, there is no shortage of that.

Hang in there Louise!

Gitchigumee,

Yes, today they did apologize for all that they put everyone through. It was a new doctor, and she said that all the xrays and the cat scans had been read, and everything is OK.
Why they said they'd have to wait for 10 days one can only guess. But it does seem pretty heartless from this end of the situation.

Thank you everyone for all your wishes and all your prayers. We all appreciate them so much! So sorry to put everyone else through all this, too. Still think that Lightfoot people are the best there are.:)

Louise,

You should not apologize because you have done nothing wrong. As for me, I am always glad to listen and be positive when someone else needs help. Hopefully as the holidays approach and you all spend time together this bad time will be forgotten.

Enjoy the journey of life. :)

Good News..!!
I know from experience as do many others that sometimes the docs/staff etc. are overworked and can seemingly let things slip. To those who are waiting it is a hard time and creates a lot of anxiety but I'm sure had there been a serious issue you would have been notified immediately. Thankfully that was not the case.

Thank you, DSR, Silverheels, Char, and EVERYONE who has written before, in regards to this thread. I can't relay to you all just how much it has meant. Just saw our grandughter this morning and that precious little face seemed much more precious than before. I pray that this Holiday Season, we will all try to fill it with happiness and joy, and to really appreciate that we have each other. All the riches in the world cannot make up for one relationship with a loved one.

~Peace to all....and thank you again~
