Affair on Touhy Ave. 07-23-2005 09:43 PM

just heard the original recording tonight on WFMT's Midnight Special. those from the Chicago area might be familliar with the radio show. Nice to hear it again since my Phonograph doesn't work.

I, too, thought this was one of the best tracks on the 1st album (of remakes) and was very upset when it was left off the CD with the excuse that it wouldn't fit. There were other CDs released at that same time with enough song time that it would have fit.
Maybe he left it off for personal reasons?

I didn't know Gord reversed the verses. Which ones were changed?

I've always preferred the original. The Gord's Gold version when he sings "ribbons of light" dropping down the scale instead of taking the notes up, to me just doesn't give the same punch.

Rez, I would've enjoyed that LA concert version, nice moment.
