Hi everyone,

I was there for the Saturday show, Val's set-list is accurate. love Gord, love the band. I'll have to write up my review later today... sorry... lot of stuff going on...

Here's Sunday's set list. I don't think anyone has posted it yet; if I missed it, I apologize.

1. Spanish Moss
2. 14 Karet Gold
3. Minstrel Of The Dawn
4. Let It Ride
5. Harmony
6. Never Too Close
7. Ghosts Of Cape Horn (which he started to introduce Saturday night - "tall ships" - and then went off on a tangent and never sang it)
8. Beautiful
9. Triangle
10. Cotton Jenny
11. I Used To Be A Country Singer
12. Sundown
13. Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald
14. Couchiching
15. If You Could Read My Mind
16. Waiting For You
17. Clouds Of Loneliness
18. Restless (dedicated to Derek's Dad)
19. Baby Step Back
20. Early Mornin' Rain
21. Song For A Winter's Night
22. On The High Seas
23. Old Dan's Records

This was an amazingly long single set concert. A usual 2 set show has 25 to 27 songs, split between the two sets. One set shows rarely go above 20 songs. Twenty-three songs is a lot of singing without a break.

I was cheated! I was there on Saturday! Just kidding, but I really like 6, 7, 8 and 21. I was hoping for Never Too Close and Song for a Winter's Night on Saturday. But I won't be satisfied until I sit in front of him and the band and hear him sing every single song he has evr sung or recorded. Not that I ask for much you know.

Debs,
that happened to me once. Seriously. Only he didnt sing EVERY single song, etc. But I sat on the stage (me and a few others) while he sat on a
stool, just him and his guitar, and he sang to us.
Isnt that a dream come true?
:)

:D OK.OK. I've told this story often at the NG and here so suffice to say it was at the very final London concert Gord ever played. He was having a few problems that night. Briefly, a handful of us obsessives remained after the theatre had emptied. Gord came back out and called us up to join him on stage. We stampeded the stage (joke) and sedately sat around him, at his feet. He played several songs and chatted a bit.It was very special.
And that is all you need to know for now. ;)

O.K., Bru, we're ready for part II of your story!! The full, unvarnished story!!
