I'm sure we've tickled this before but what the hay! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Classical Music (Mostly happy, upbeat or romantic, especially piano or violin.) New Age 50's & 60's & 70s rock (too many artists to mention.) Disco. 80s pop & some meatal. Positive 90s music (even though I have a few rap singles.) Folk David Bowie,Lou Reed and other eclectic artists. A little bit country. Off the wall acts that never became famous but made the lower rungs of the charts. Jazz and Adult Contemporary. Opera. I do not like speed meatal, death meatal, gangsta rap, marilyn manson (whatever his music is),grunge and groups that whine and groan instead of singing. Been me,later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif ------------------ Borderstone, gonna post some lines tonight! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif [This message has been edited by Borderstone (edited February 17, 2004).] |

Raggae? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif Some but not a lot. Skiffle?! I've heard it but it's way before my time! I like the song,"Does Your Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavor..etc." though. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
By the way,I really don't listen to any particular act more than GL,Except to say that Mariah runs about even in that way. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif My woman! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif ------------------ Borderstone, gonna post some lines tonight!:D |
Borderstone, don't you like Bob Marley? I think he's better than that other Bob.

John Prine, Kenny Rankin, Bobby Goldsboro, Jean Michael Jarre and Warren Zevon are interesting too. I like Babs and Jane Olivor as well.

Apart from Gord, I love Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and Brian Wilson especially.

It's not that I don't like Bob Marley,it's that to me,a lot of Raggae sounds the same. Maybe it doesn't but I just don't get into it that much.
Bob Marley passed away before I had ever even heard of him or his music. I've listened to him and he has some good songs but they just don't really appeal to me. I really can't say why anymore than that. It's been me,later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif ------------------ Borderstone, gonna post some lines tonight!:D |
Bordestone - I think I like the reason for Marley's music more than Marley himself, but, I still enjoy the music and Marley was one of the pioneers in reggae. I really fell in love with the music on a cruise in the Caribean.
Classic - I haven't thought of Bobby Goldsboro for years! Remember that cricket noise he used to make? |

Brink, yes I do recall the "cricket sound"...check out the following especially if you are a parent like me (regarding Bobby Goldsboro): http://www.swampcritters.com/

I'm with the one who asked, "There are other artists?"
Seriously, I stay mostly in the country/light pop vein, what most people would consider "boring" or "depressing." Country favorites: Charley Pride Johnny Rodriguez (gads, his name is hard to type) Lacy J. Dalton Michelle Wright Doug Stone Non-country favorites: Jim Croce Rod Stewart Janis Joplin Obviously I go more for older music. Even in the country genre. More Loretta Lynn, less Shania Twain. ------------------ "Pickin' up the pieces of my sweet, shattered dream..." |
