It happened yesterday. Just a very spontaneous occasion.

"Classic Lightfoot Live" lead singer, John Stinson called to say he was in town so we rounded up classically trained lead guitarist Paul Bartlett who lives close by here in Toronto for an afternoon of Lightfoot tunes on "the Gord patio" at the Joneses place. Even made time to stock a pint or two. Most delicious brew.
A real surprising uplift during this very unsettling time.
Both Paul and John were trained by Red Shea, Gord's late great lead guitarist.

Birds in all creation will be twitterin' in the trees as Ballad of the Yarmouth Castle, Bitter Green and Beautiful just rolled out there. The B45 then made it's way in with "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, EMR and CRT.
As the neighbourhood hedge trimmers and lawnmowers went silent the songs kept coming, right on through till the dimming of the day.

It was indeed a most memorable and joyous occasion, as always when the opportunity arises for a session of Gord tunes.
Many more please.

It was just one of those "spur of the moment" gigs that usually render pleasant surprises.
John was only in town for a limited time so we made the best of it.
The excitement factor kicks in and the show goes on. Sort of like getting up on a bicycle. It has to keep up there!
It did the heart well for sure.
"Marian from the Mountains" was on hand the take the pic.
My thanks to all.
