One heard Circle Of Steel at a gas station years ago.

On the radio, I've only heard IYCRMM (many many times), "Sundown" (many times), TWOTEF (once) and "Anything For Love" (once). Plus "Stay Loose" once, but that was as a result of my request to an accessible, night-time programme.

Over here I have heard, at various times, IYCRMM, Sundown, Dream Street Rose, Someone To Believe In, EMR, Daylight Katy & TWOTEF. Some time ago Paul Gambaccini had Sundown as his classic album and played, among others, Seven Island Suite.

Do you even understand what I mean by obscure stuff.

I'm not talking about Sundown or If You Could etc. or the other hit singles.

Sorry!

Well said, Dave from Melbourne. Over here in the UK Gordon Lightfoot can almost be described as obscure. Whenever I tell people I am a Gordon Lightfoot fan, the response is: Who?

Affair on Touhy Avenue,

I also understood what you meant by obscure, but I was making the point that here in Australia, it's rare enough hearing Gord's best-known songs on the radio. (Joveski has only had the pleasure a couple of times in the 20 years since he discovered Lightfoot's music.)

30 years, thank you Dave :) down in Melbourne , we only have 1 or (possibly) 2 staions that will plaay the two big songs. Magic 1278 is gone next week to become a lifestyle talk program broadcast from Sydney. sad but true

For fans I don't consider this an obscure song, but one that I would only hear on one local radio station that would play lots of Gordon's album track songs from the mid 1970's through the early 1980's. In fact, I credit this local radio station for getting me interested in Gordon's music - WMGK FM 102.9 in Philadelphia, PA (aka "Magic" - it's now a "classic rock" station). Anyway, the song is "Fine As Fine Can Be" - one day, probably back in the mid-1990's I was watching a professional ladies' figure skating competition on one of the major US networks, and this was the song used to open the broadcast! Totally unexpected, I must have done a happy dance when I heard it!

I remember WMGK magic 102.9! Loved that station.

I heard "Did She Mention My Name" on sirius radio the bridge. Don't know if that counts.
