I recently went to see a very popular singer/guitarist here in the UK, Joe Brown. He usually has a small band with him. This time he was accompanied by an American guitarist/singer Henry Gross. Who I had never heard of. Have googled him and it seems he has been around as long as Joe and is known for a song Shannon, which he sang. However Joe said that Henry had introduced him to a song by Gordon Lightfoot, I immediately perked up, and Joe sang Did She Mention My Name. Made a pretty good job of it. Joe is one of these people who can play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo and violin.

Joe did mention that he did the song on the Ken Bruce Show. It is odd that I missed it, I normally listen to Ken. Have just listened on the link, and Joe mentioned Ukulele Ike.
The wonderful Tom Russell wrote a song about the guy, The Lonesome Death of Ukulele Ike.
