This article says the Jan2 temperature at Moomba in the state of South Australia reached 49.3degC and a man in another SA town used the sun to fry an egg on a shovel.

That is expected to be the ACTUAL temp here on Sunday night...-21F is about the same as -30C if I am reading the conversion chart correctly. Suffice it to say I will not be attending the Packers' playoff game that night.

46.5 in melbourne during the black saturday period... didnt feel that hot though!
