Hi friends.

After a week without power due to an ice storm that hit us Dec 21st here in Scarborough, Ontario and just having the internet finally connected back yesterday, we are slowly getting back to what we refer to as "normal."

Good thing is no one was injured and for that we're very thankful and celebrating Christmas by candlelight with family and friends was quite special. "Song For a Winter's Night" was played by a battery operated tape deck. It was quite a moving experience.

Best to everyone in 2014 and we look forward to the Massey Hall concerts next November.

Glad it's all good RJ!! I've just got my furnace up and running from 8 last night and it's as cold as I'd want to get and for as long as I'd ever want to again..Can't imagine days of it! House is slowly warming up now that a new igniter has been installed!
See you in a couple of weeks..I'll be in touch.. hope 2014 is happy and healthy and you have LOL! (Lots of Lightfoot) !!

Happy new year from here too. We passed midnight 11 hours ago.

My daughters are complaining, because they're spending the next week at the beach resort of Inverloch (2 hours south-east of Melbourne) and the forecast has no temperatures above 23degC (73degF)!
