Rolling Stone compiled a list of 30 "rockers" over 70 and left Gord off.
While Gord might not be considered a "rocker" - Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond and Art Garfunkel are all on the list

I'd have to say that Dylan, Diamond and Garfunkel are more 'rocker' than Lightfoot in their music portfolios - Seeger not so much but I think he just gets put on whatever list is going around because he's Pete Seeger.

Not Surprised at all. Rolling Stone has never given Gord his due
Yeah, I don't think that list is nearly complete. And if to tuck into the 60s a bit there is a TON more.

People, Rolling Stone is a joke. Everything RS likes or dislikes depends on how its publisher, Jann Wenner, feels at any given time. He may feel Gord is too folk oriented to be on the list...so that's how it goes. Jann hates the Moody Blues, so they have never been even nominated to be in the stupid "Hall of Fame". That's absurd. He couldn't stand Neil Diamond until around 2005 when Neil hooked up with Rick Rubin for those two great albums: "12 Songs" and
"Home Before Dark". So only take RS's take on music with a grain of salt. If Jann isn't happy with a certain artist, he/she gets shunned. It's a travesty and I encourage all of you to treat is as such.

Why am I not surprised? Gordon has never gotten his due from certain parts of the music business!
