It was a real treat last night at Wide Open Bluegrass in Raleigh NC to hear the bluegrass royalty collaborate onstage - Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Del McCoury, Jerry Douglas, Tony Rice, Jason Carter, and Mark Schatz. They were absolutely great, though Allison Krauss was missed.

Tony Rice was inducted into the IBMA Hall of Fame, and you can hear his speech -and his real voice, as he extends comfort to his friend Allison Krauss.

Certainly I hope and pray that both are healed and that we can once again hear them express themselves in their own remarkable voices.

while not a fan of bluegrass music I know of his health issues and am happy to hear he's better. I know a young guy who had the same problem but after a few years is back onstage singing and writing... I hope Allison is better soon...

hey, char - you do have his Gord tribute album, no? (that's the Lightfoot connection, eh) ...let me know... you must like JP Cormier's tribute and that's bluegrass... seeing it live might help... wine might also do the trick:)

good health to all ....national treasures, indeed
