It appears that some of the GL reissue CDs that came out in 2010 on the Wounded Bird label have already begun to go out of print. While it was good to have Gord's material available again, the 2010 CDs featured subpar artwork, flimsy booklets, and no bonus tracks. I would really like to see the Lightfoot catalog get the treatment it deserves if the albums are ever reissued again. Such treatment would include expanded booklets and liner notes, superior sound quality, and bonus tracks from the time period of the original LP's release. Other than that, there's two other things I'd like to see.

1. A release of Sundown by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab on CD.

2. the release of a live album from the 70's or 80's to fill the gap between Sunday Concert and All Live. I heard there was a live album from the Sundown period that was recorded and ready to be issued except that Gord didn't like it on account of a broken fingernail which interfered with his playing. Has anyone else ever heard this or is it an old "urban legend"?

yes, if you search "fingernail" you will find the reference in a few old threads

yes and no
it is possible to find a source of the full 2 CD bootleg audience recording (it is not as I at one time believed a spirited away/illicit copy of the aborted soundboard recording that was apparently intended to be an album release until Gord detected the effect of his broken fingernail
meanwhile read this old corfid thread

Then visit the sugarmegs website where you can see the setflist of one of the March 1974 Massey Hall concerts and listen to a streaming audio or download it as (probably) a single continuous compressed file in either wma or mp3 format (the latter is only 96MB so do not expect good enough quality to reconstitute the CDs from.
