Hello, one of my older brothers, who was a player in my start to following Gordon Lightfoot in the early 1970's, told me that his old CD's had been stolen out of his car. I told him he shouldn't store original CD's in his car, just copies. He wanted Songbook back, I checked Amazon's website and was STUNNED that new issues of GL-Songbook are selling for $390!! Whatttt! Used Cd's for $100!! Whattt! Is this normal? Can I get a better deal for my brother?

You could possibly do a torrent search and download them

I suspect this happens when they've sold out and can't get anymore. I recently tried to buy my Granddaughter her own copy of Arlo Guthrie's Mooses come Walking book. It's over $100. on Amazon. more than 10 times what I paid 15 years ago!
Your brother should also call all the used CD stores in the area & have them watch for his own. I doubt if the person who robbed him would appreciate the CDs enough to keep them. I wouldn't even be shocked to learn that the great deal on Ebay was your brothers.

I'd try ebay. Sooner or later everything turns up, and you can get a decent bargin.
