Our area got hit pretty hard...we got in the basement with the kids when it hit. Power went out and we had to live in basement three days. Had peanut butter and warm water. Drove kids and dogs around in car after gas station opened back up...kept them coolin worst part of the day...kids and elderly dog were on verge of being sick from heat.
We were lucky...no physical damage, and power back after three days. Had some friends over the who didn't get power back for a few more days. Parts of our area has house and auto damage from downed trees...some just now getting power back.
A week ago tonight we had solar lawn lights in basement trying to calm kids fears. Glad it's past.
