For many years following its opening Alumni Hall was the main venue in London for touring Canadian and International Stars. Beginning with his first appearance in 1968 Canadian folk icon Gordon Lightfoot always filled the Hall to capacity. This 1970 concert was no exception and during this performance he introduced a new song, “I heard you talking in your sleep”.

Great shot!

Anyone know what the round sticker was on Gord's natural B-45-12 guitar? I've seen it in many pictures but could never suss out what was on the sticker. You can see part of it in the pic above, on the side of the guitar above the neck.

The sticker as I reall from a songbook photo is a head shot of a guy in hat with the text "Nudie"...as in Nudie suits...rhinestone things popular with country acts like Porter Wagner, and of course Elvis' jumpsuits.

Oh, and by the way...early on I use to tape my set list to the guitar like Gord does. Bad idea. Bad bad idea. The adhesive ruins the lacquer finish.

Yeah, I did the scotch tape thing too, for a long time, and the marks are still on my D-18.

Maybe the Nudie sticker was similiar to this one

famously stuck, and still stuck, on Clarence's famous tele that Marty Stuart now owns and plays all the time?

Here's someone selling replicas of the decals on the Marty Stuart/Clarence tele. Look like the same Nudie sticker on Gord's 12-string?
