Today is the fourth anniversary of the passing of Red Shea.

Many of us remember Red very well and how his skill on the lead guitar made a significant contribution into the original sound of the music of Gordon Lightfoot.

Thanks for the licks Red. They live on.

Thanks JJ.

Class pic you chose there I might add. Shows them both in fine form with their classic instruments as well.

Will be attending both concerts and connecting with Char and friends this coming Friday and Saturday in my present home town and our Nation's Capital City of Ottawa.

I'll be sure to post something after the concerts.

We will and thanks JJ.

Just a further note to say that the news reports on CBC TV tonight regarding Gord being inducted onto the American Songwriters Hall of Fame showed some great footage of Red with Gord and John Stockfish in those great early days. They looked fantastic. Very vibrant.

"Listen to the strings, they jangle and dangle while the old guitar rings.

That would be Red. "Trying to get into things more happy than blue, like an old time troubadour, just wanting life and nothing more."
