Our good man, Scott, scooped me again...Gord is on Q this Thursday, 10 am:)

the new live album wasn't re-mixed from audio captured at those gigs...that's a surprise

yeah, sounds good...i just want an album of this vibe/mix

raw, Gord....raw...it would sell as well as i expect this All Live cd will/won't

glad they didn't play Sundown...i think it's the weakest on the cd..and live

yeah, not much new but if bennies were part of the secret to early writings, then I'd recommend him taking a few again (if it weren't so dangerous to his ticker)

they even cut Restless short

I was surprised at how well he sounded on what is a favorite song of mine - mind you there are a lot of favorites. I have to confess that my exposure to Gord's music in recent years has been confined to those atrocious cell phone recordings posted on You Tube. I have thought why is he still doing this? I have missed the last few concerts of his in Calgary because of those terrible You Tube videos, and I think they do Gord a great injustice.
I thought he sounded great, although intimate settings may be the best sort of venue for him now.

yes any youtube video (especially cellphone mic quality) can't get that live vibe

but, in Gord's case unfortunately they aren't far off, imo

he needs to get out with Carter as a duo.... his voice can carry over guitar strings

i wonder how many songs he could play as that sort or intimate arrangement

anything where he is fingerpicking that 6 string would work, imo

yeah, char, that's more efficient than i also expected...must be some startling productivity going on there with all those jobs on the line, lol
