OK (NOT OK) so far over 300 people have viewed this kind posting by Char with only my single response and no other (not even by a certain fan who I know lives only a few miles south of Lebanon and who also I believe likes Chocolate!!) so here is my contribution to the discussion.
There is one very interesting feature on that advertising webpage:
Under the main graphic for the Lebanon Opera House and a picture of Gord plus tickets sales blurb is an innocent looking hyperlink which says simply
Click here to listen to Gordon Lightfoot's biggest hits. (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1109566805411&s=1&e=001dGiFRCWeorrzBjSN7Mbp_Df4Qa4emhr_xkBcgnjfUVGGx uNi0nNN4A1vuIbJeTvBK9VGlgMZicd44GJxnfW_e9zbi50OEeH vpHFH4COU6i-Vp3nkYRpXGd8SSrJDKSrkWycBesUt8HkMJZP4vjA7Xg==)
That will in turn open a Myspace page entitled Gordon Lightfoot Radio at:-
http://www.myspace.com/gordonlightfoot-45772001/music
with a clickable listing of some 171 Lightfoot tracks spread over several pages (20 to a page) with a link
on the header bar to "My Playlist" (I did not try this but presumably there is a facility for logged in MySpace members to add tracks to create their own personal playlist) plus an offer to buy each track (from itunes for 99 cents each)
that seems superfluous because any surfer with his head screwed on right should know that it is pefectly possible to record for free anything and everything that is coming out of your computer's loudspeakers so you could acquire all 171 for free
(that would not of course apply to most law abiding readers here who have already bought them all (some of us several times over on vinyl, tape and digital)
Below that listing are clickable images of 19 items. these being 14 of Gord's 20 albums (because Harmony and the 5 United Artists albums are missing) plus both Gord's Gold compilations and the Rhino "High Five" offerring and two singles
(IYCRMM/Poor Little Allison and the Fitz/The house you live in)

If you click an album image a page for each will open that lists every track on that album and the choice of buying it or play it all completely (not just the usual 30 second samples)
Here is the header for the Sundown album page at:-

I had no idea that so much music was available on the My Space site it includes 82 playable
tracks by that other Canadian singer Stan Rogers including one of my favoUrites

my mother's full Maiden name was Margarey Ellen Carter which is remarkably close!
I have no idea who set up the GL collection but it all appears to be of dubious legality to me
TIP if you play any one track it is then followed by a random series of other songs by other folk artists. All very entertaining
ENJOY

I like the blue button up top labelled "Gordon Lightfoot Radio." I'm listening to Rainy Day People as I type this.
