Well, Gord's tunes didn't make the first round. Although I understand how the context of Sundown and The Wreck pertains to weather, IMO there were better choices like Rainy Day People, Early Morning Rain, Song for a Winter's Night. . . But it was a US contest and I suppose few would have voted for the songs I suggested not being as familiar with them or, sadly, never even having heard of them before. By the time I read this post the voting was over.
