Hey
I loved the Massey brochure shot of Gord sitting and I could get used to the entire Lightfoot Quintet being seated but standing probably helps clear the windpipe
Sending the new kid a welcome email might be well received
I think he's gonna work out fine. Anybody who will take the time to tune a guitar in so many different ways will certainly fit in. Lightfoot's a stickler on tuning, and Mr. Lancaster must be also.

Checked earlier for e-mail addy..

Carter reminds me of the way Andy McKee plays, he's very impressive. I'm already imagining what my favorite Lightfoot tunes will sound like with his contributions.

Ahhh... a fingerpicker. He will add a lot to Gord's sound. Not bad at all!

I welcomed Carter and mentioned that many of Gordon's fans are online and known as The Net People, a name that Gordon calls us. I told Carter taht there will be a large number of us in Toronto for Massey but he will meet others on tour prior to Massey. I just rec'd a lovely reply from Carter. He never met Terry but knows he has big shoes to fill. He also says, "Although no-one can replace him, I will do my best to help contribute to the the GL sound. Thank you again for the nice email, and I look forward to meeting you on tour."
So if you have a chance, make sure to say hi and welcome to Carter this year. He has the talent obviously or would have never been chosen by Lightfoot, so as a tribute to Terry and our love for him we should embrace and welcome the 'new guy' and wish wim well.
Wonder when the GL site will also update band profiles

Sam Simmons

after further listenings, yeah, i especially like The Giving and this one:

in this other video he mentions he also has a 12 string harp guitar with 6 contrabass strings instead of the 5, so it's an 18 string...tuning bliss, lol
