Haven't posted in a while, but still a Gord fan as always. I've been in a bit of a creative null lately so I decided to see if some covers would break the trend. I tried to cover Gord's Is There Anyone Home, but man I really wrecked the vocal track. Maybe someone here will pitty me enough to send an isolated vocal track I can mix back in and make it more listenable. I know there are some pretty good singers who visit here. At any rate, just bare in mind I'm no Gordon Lightfoot before you listen. I put it to a few images from around Southern Arizona so maybe if you do not like the music, you'll enjoy the photos.
Best,
Walt

Your much too kind. Thanks! I've always been fan of this song. It has almost no rhyme scheme, but every word sounds as if it was in the perfect position, setting up the mouth to pronounce the next. The work of a true master....

i clicked on your post because I say those words, "i wish I could sing" daily! Turns out you can sing, I still cannot! I love that song. I hadn't heard it in a while and it was nice to be reminded of it.
I too am from tucson and I really appreciated the pictures in your video. I have many similar ones here on my computer!
Good job Walt! I love that song. And Tucson...visited there for the first time a few months ago. Stayed in the nice part of the city (Paloma village?) Very beautiful country. Tombstone was a waste of time. Should have went to old Tucson instead.

Tombstone was a waste of time.
I felt the same way after I visited the first time. Old Tucson is really not much better. There are still a few in-tact ghost towns in Southern Arizona, if you want a taste of how folks really use to live, these are the places to visit.
I really appreciate the positive feedback on the song. I still have a hard time listening to the vocals. I'm going to try it again when I get some quiet time in the house. I've started practicing the guitar for my next cover (Hi Way Songs). I'll probably have that finished in a couple of weeks.

Finished this up finally. Again, I'm no Lightfoot, but I'm fairly happy with this production. I've also updated the links at This Thread (http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=15195) if anyone might be interested....

Hi Walt. I really like the productions. Sounds very good. I try and put together all the musical pieces for Lightfoot tunes i play and its a challenge. I gotta say yours are better. Did you play all the parts? Keep it up.......john

I do play all of the parts one track at a time. The bass and drums are sounds from my Yamaha PSR310 keyboard. I have an Epiphone twelve-string guitar. I use multitrac recording software to put it all together.
Thanks, for the very kind words.
