The Stevens Center is a lovely, intimate setting for a concert and it looked full from where I sat lower left orchestra.

Triangle
Did She Mention My Name - GL Comment - "As Mark Twain said, the rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated" Much APPLAUSE :-) Said he heard the news on the radio en route to his office & felt compelled to speed past Mount Pleasant cemetery
14 Kt Gold
Never Too Close - more commentary about the people at the gym missing him because he was at the dentist & thinking the rumor was true
Let It Ride
A Painter Passing Through
Rainy Day People - said perhaps he might get a spike in ASCAP payments
Shadows
Beautiful (those 2 in succession, oh my I can die happy now)
Carefree Highway
Hangdog Hotel Room - said this was written for his pal Jerry Jeff, whose jacket he wore on the cover of Don Quixote
Ribbon of Darkness
Sundown
Watchman
Alberta Bound - which he said he sang at the Olympics in '88

Intermission at 8:52, concert resumed at 9:10

Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - came with a fir amount of commentary about a new tv special on what really happened to the ship - it broke in half
Spanish Moss
Don Quixote
If Children Had Wings
Waiting for You
Make Way for the Lady
If You Could Read My Mind
Baby Step Back - commented that this was the first of ten shows and they are pretty fresh :-)
Restless
Canadian Railroad Trilogy - sung by request sent into his office, he seemed quite tickled at that
Song For a Winters Night - Cleveland July thunderstorm story
Blackberry Wine

Encore - Old Dan's Records

The band seemed very much on & to be having quite a good time. Audience was rapt, except for one very obnoxious dude who must have been muzzled at halftime. Mr. Lightfoot looked good - more chatty in the first set & down to business in the second. I'm so glad to have had the chance to see them all again. It was a treat.

Thanks for posting the setlist, Ellen. Glad to hear Gord was in good form and joking about the "near death experience".

Thanks for the report. It sounds like he's having fun with the rumour of his passing and now has some new material for the shows..
lol
Mount Pleasant Cemetery is near his office and is a huge place. There are walking and bike tours through it. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/626654

"Canadian Railroad Trilogy - sung by request sent into his office, he seemed quite tickled at that" - hoo boy, batten down the hatches at the office, he's going to be inundated by requests THERE now, lol.

Indeed, sending a request to the office is quite civilized - far better than drunkenly shouting out repeated requests drowning out Mr. Lightfoot when he is talking. Seems like there is always one guy who has to shout over & over "I love you Gord" "I love you man". Dude, the rest of us are not feeling the love for you.
