odd, not sure why this vid is allowed but not the ones Tomcat invested time in

that last frame looks a bit like Elin, lol (who is stronger than Woody ever was with a club in hand)...the ripple from the SUV hydrant drama has been on the front cover of NY Post for 19 days which ties a record with the 9-11 event...that strikes me as pathetic commentary on mankind...ok, i am already way off topic, back to the vid:

the creator comments that the 70s version has different lyrics and melody than this original...never realized that, probably cos i never listen to the 70s version

btw, our ronj does a heartfelt cover of the tune that i would like to see posted

not sure why the video was posted, Affair on Touhy Ave...like it, hate it, pointless, just wondered...there sure is no shortage of photo montages out there in youtubeland....and our very own MN Mouse really has a knack for it!

I don't see what's you're so particular about.

I just posted this because of the song itself reguardless of whatever the video has.

I just posted this because of the song itself

nice...i wonder what percent of GLs 200+ songs (the actual full recordings) can be found on the internet...i dont think very many....it would be great to have a link to them all for those who dont have a hard time finding or affording all the material

i also wonder what song is used for the most video creations of youtubers but i am guessing it is IYCRMM...

if you come across the 70s recording of TCIS it would be neat to post it under this thread for a compare...like i said, never realized the melody and lyric change...i never liked that radio friendly version but i suppose it charted well and who can argue with that

This is the way I first heard it of course in the late 60's. And then 20 years later on Endless Wire... I myself really like both versions. Thanks for posting it. :)

Does anyone know which actual recording this is? Is it from "Back Here On Earth" 1968?

I almost wince at some of the lyrics... strike a bit too close to home.

Thanks for posting.
