if the guy banned every artist that he spontaneously asked for an interview, he'd have no records left to play

if he wants to hear what GL think about the Wreck then just google and read one of a zillion quotes GL has made over the years about the topic and read them aloud to his listeners

Of course ig he'd had Lightfoot for an interview it would probably would have been a freebie. By having the Bodeans sing the song he generates a royalty of Lightfoot. Maybe I should figure out a way onto this guy's bad guy list.

I see someone did respond with the question that if the song hadn't existed who would be talking about he Fitzgerald and her crew these 34 years later? Could someone (not one of you folks that live right on the Lakes...) name me one other ship that went down with its crew in the Great Lakes? There are hundreds to pick from but who would know that?

I can see the satire and the attention (albeit negative) this has generated. He still sucks big time though and this schtick is hardly worthy of a Marconi.

Char, I most heartily agree with you on that. And for what it's worth, the guy is, as I see it, a few more things that are unprintable as well. What sort of a rock does that slimy little salamander live under anyway?
