Lightfoot Amazing at Seventy
Sunday, October 25th, 2009
His songs have been recorded by stars such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bob Dylan, Judy Collins, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Mathis, Richie Havens, Harry Belafonte, Sarah McLachlan and John Mellencamp along with Peter Paul and Mary, but we betcha you don’t know who he is!

The past two days Hot Gossip spent some time in Las Vegas and had the opportunity to hear one of musics finest. Still putting on an incredible show at 70, Gordon Lightfoot, Canada’s “national treasure” proved to have a voice as powerful as its always been, and was gracious and friendly backstage.

Lightfoot is noted for songs like Sundown and “If You Could Read My Mind” as well as “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.”

Most amazing part is that a 70 year old Lightfoot can get into a webzine called "Hot Gossip"
;)

That is a very generous review. Makes me wonder if the writer even attended the show.
