Thursday night I was with my brother in his pick-up truck and we had just came from hanging out.

We had the radio on our local classic rock station and the next song came on and guess what this station known for playong Aerosmith & Led Zeppelin & others decided to play?

"The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald"! ! !

Blew me away when i heard that come on !

Now either they have realized many people have an idea about what classic and/or rock is and have become more open minded. Or!! They're trying to compete with Satellite, downlaoing & I-Pods etc.

I think they've opened their minds up ...how about you folks?

An open mind is a good thing...I keep reminding myself of that!

That's so cool that you heard the Wreck - I would have been blown away too!

Dear formerly: Don't know if your interest is just on the song or the incident as well, but FYI, on Wednesday, September 3, on the HINT Channel (History International Channel) is a show entitled "Death of the Edmund Fitzgerald." I have DirecTv, so it's on my Channel 271 at I believe 6:00 p.m. (I get the New York feed for some reason) and also at 9:00 p.m.

I think they've opened their minds up ...how about you folks? :biggrin:It sounds like it. Of course, my pops idea of what constitutes classic rock dates back to the '50's. We've got a station here that plays classic rock as well, KKPT 94.1FM. It plays a pretty god selection of material.
