I was at the show also. The first Lightfoot show I saw was when he played there 16 years ago! Couple pictures:

Wow!!
Thanks guys for this.

The one here with of Rick, Mike and Gord is a classic; a painting even.

The enlarged version shows an amazingly powerful image shot just at the right time.

It's a fav.

Thanks. RJ.

Thanks for all the great pics here :) -looks like there was a nice crowd and weather :). Glad you got to go . oh geez in retrospect I should have brought my cousin to that one last night :(. After I went to a concert with my other cousin last month, then her sis now wants to go and I told her I'd take her to the RI show and completely forgot  -just remembered and apologized to her yesterday. But when we talked about it last month..it looked like that RI casino was about to close and she still thinks it could before next weekend (I think not...last I read).

I'm telling ya, that was one lucky lady to get to meet & actually speak with the man himself.

Nice photos! I saved them, called them "longhairedgord1 and longhairedgord2"...I'm just jealous. I haven't been able to grow hair like that since around 1986.

One odd thing about the Chautauqua show I forgot to mention: no intermission! He just blew right through the entire set. He made a comment about how hard the seats were (they were!). Honestly, I think the intermission would have helped! A 20 minute break from those seats would have been nice.

Has he been skipping the intermission more often? Or was this an anomaly? I've seen him 7 times, and this is the only time he's skipped the intermission.

How long did they play for? wasw it around 90 minutes like a casino show?
A concert with a 20 minute break is usually one hour for the first set, 20 min.break then about 50 min for 2nd set.

No intermission at the concert in Mass either! He had started 1/2 hour late..which was a 1st for any of his concerts I've attended. But originally that was an 8pm show that was changed to 7pm and was also broadcast live on a local radio station...so perhaps he was on air doing an interview? Or started late (7:30) for those who were still going by the 8pm start time. I wouldn't have drank so much water if I had known there would be no intermission! I hated having to get up in the middle of the concert to hit the tilly!

The concert was broadcast live on radio?

There has been an intermission at every concert I've been to with the exception of Atlantic City. I think I knew beforehand that typically there aren't intermissions at the casino shows.

The concert was broadcast live on radio?

As far as I know it was. The radio station (I can't recall which, but was listed on the promo ads) had a sign announcing the live broadcast at a booth set up outside the entrance to the ampitheatre when we 1st got there. They took their tent and everything down about 15 mintutes before the 'door's opened.

Was very kewl though my cuz and I got there early, hoping to get in a round of mini golf...but we still didn't have enough time. I was really anxious to get a look inside at the stage, etc., because I had forgotten what it looked like after over 25 years since I performed there. I recognized the entrance and surrounding area (the train, basketball courts) right away. Wasn't until I got closer to the stage that I was able to remember more.

Still sometime we had before the gates opened so we were sitting on a bench nearby when I heard the music  and scurried around the perimeter, and found a view through the chain-link and got a nice peak at GL (in shorts, nice legs) and the band doing the sound check!! 1st time I ever caught that .

During the delay, my cuz went online and we were trying to find the radio station (couldn't recall it). We had fun though, checking the local weather (it was cloudy and we ended up with just a few passing sprinkles). Then I guess my cuz was looking at upcoming GL concerts and tickets and had found one's for Massey -she was bowled over by the $$$ for these! But she wants to go and said we could use her mom's timeshare.

Haven't heard of anyone who got to hear the live broadcast!
