Where is the Silver Heels now??

I just spent the weekend looking out at Christian Island. I wondered whatever happened to Lightfoot's sailboat. The song Christian Island mentions the vessel.

Is the boat still around somewhere. A couple of months ago I noticed that Jimmy Buffets Euphoria II was up for sale from some guy who has owned it for the last 15 years or so. I daydreamed about putting an offer in on it.

But I have never heard anything about where Lightfoot's boat ended up.

Has anyone heard?
